I have been privileged to be a part of the Shady Oak Christian School family both as a parent and teacher since 2021. I am a true believer in the core values and teaching methods used at SOCS which is why I am honored to be a part of this village.
I began my teaching journey in 2002 while I was obtaining my CDA (Child Development Associate Certificate) and associate’s degree in early childhood education. I continued teaching through 2009 when I made a shift in career paths to enter the music and entertainment industry at Live Nation.
In 2017, my husband and I welcomed our daughter into the world and I made the decision to stop working and raise her at home. After enrolling my daughter at SOCS, I began to feel a pull to get back into the wonderful world of early childhood education and was welcomed into the SOCS teaching team.
My hope is that each child that enters my classroom feels a sense of confidence, safety and love as they navigate their environment and create authentic connections with peers.
I am originally from Toronto, Canada and lived in the Indianapolis, IN area for the latter part of my childhood. In 2015, my husband and I moved to Houston and have since planted roots in Sugar Land. We have a Boston Terrier named Ozzy and volunteer as Boston Terrier foster parents as we are able. When I’m not teaching, I love to travel, ice skate, dance, visit Disney, and spend quality time with family and friends.
