MusicTogether classes are based on the recognition that all children are musical. All children can learn to sing in tune, keep a beat, and participate with confidence in the music of our culture, provided that their early environment supports such learning. By emphasizing actual music experiences rather than concepts about music, Music Together introduces children to the pleasure of making music instead of passively receiving it from CD’s or TV. This year as part of our curriculum, all Readiness, Pre-K, Bridge and Kindergarten Students will receive 30 minutes of instruction each week in this program. Joyce Trigger will be the instructor. Music Together® News October 2016
We hope all of our Shady Oak Families are listening to your “Flute” collection Music Together CD that your child brought home in September. Being familiar with the songs boosts your child’s confidence so much in his/her weekly class. Plus, the music is such fun for your family to sing and dance to in the car and/or at home. In a few weeks, each child will also bring home a music book of the songs on the CD. Whether or not you read music, you will find it a wonderful addition to family life. We will use them in class before children bring them home.
Inside the CD folder is your family access code for wonderful resources in the Family Music Zone at www.musictogether.com/account.
