Bridge & Kindergarten News for March

We are emerging from the “Shadows” of February into the Light of Spring!

Has your child told you that centers have gotten harder? We are seeing progress on the challenging activities that are offered daily in the classroom. We hope you are seeing that same progress at home with their confidence level, independence and self- help skills.

We will begin the month with an excursion to the Cockrell Butterfly Museum on Wednesday March 1. Please let us know if you can be a driver.

So far, our study of light and shadows has been very interesting. We had an expert on shadows visit our classroom and share her interesting story on how her work relates to them. Thank you, Patti Rishforth, for taking the time to visit us! During our study on shadows, we discovered that to make a shadow you need a source of light, something to block the light and a surface for the shadow to fall on. Next, we will look up to the skies and explore how clouds give us shade(shadows) and how clouds are formed.

Please continue to practice key words with your child.

In math, we will continue graphing, one-to-one correspondence and patterning. Show and tell days have really fallen off. Please help your child to remember his/her assigned day.

Smiles and hugs,

Mrs. Strode and Mrs. Font
